Activating your iPad
Turn on your iPad.
Follow the Instructions. You will be prompted to follow instructions by the setup assistant. Select your Language and Country/Region.
Connect to a Wi-Fi Network. A list of the available Wi-Fi Networks will appear. Select your Wi-Fi Network and enter any required network passwords.
Enable Location Services.
This will allow you to use "Find My iPad,"
if you misplace it.
Create a Passcode.
If you wish you protect the security of your iPad,
set it to a code that you will not forget.
Set Up as a New iPad.
If you wish to restore settings from a previous iPad
you have set up, you can click on the appropriate restoration prompt.
Sign in with your Apple ID and Password.
If you don’t have an Apple ID from a
previous Apple device or you can’t remember it, click on “Don’t have an Apple ID or forgot it?”
If you are setting up a new Apple ID and Password, you will be prompted to select your birthdate,
your frst and last name, your email address or create an iCloud email and password, and fnally,
you’ll need to answer a few security questions.
Accept and Agree to Apple’s Terms and Conditions.
Set Up Zoom
Zoom is the video conferencing platform we use to connect students to our tutors in online sessions. Be sure to download and install Zoom prior to your frst session.
Tap on the App Store icon.
Once in the app store, tap on the “Search” or tap on in the top right-hand corner.
Type in Zoom and Click Search.
”Zoom Cloud Meetings” should be the frst result.
Tap on then tap again on .
If Prompted, Enter your Apple ID Password and Click “OK.”
Note: If you have never used your Apple ID in the iTunes Store, you will be prompted to Review your Account. Click “Review.” Select your Country or Region and click “Next.” Scroll to the bottom of the Apple Media Services Terms and Conditions and click “Agree.” You do not need to enter credit card information. Simply enter in any missing contact felds (title, address, and phone number) and scroll down. Click “Next” without entering in credit card information. Click “Done.” You will be prompted to start at the beginning of this step and download Zoom. Allow Zoom to Install. When you join a tutoring session from your Revolution Prep Dashboard, Zoom will automatically open. No further action is needed for Zoom installation.
Create a Quick Access Revolution Prep Dashboard Link
For easier access, it is recommended students set up a direct link to their Revolution Prep Dashboard login.
Open the Safari browser icon.
Go to the Revolution Prep Homepage.

Tap the Action Button at the Top of the Screen.
Tap “Add to Home Screen.”
A new window opens with a default name for the bookmark and the corresponding web address.
Tap “Add”.
How to Access a Revolution Tutoring Session
To join a Revolution Prep tutoring session, click on the Quick Access App for Revolution Prep Login page.
Enter your Revolution ID & password. Your Revolution ID was provided to you in your enrollment confirmation email. You or your parent set up your password upon account confirmation. If you can’t remember it, simply click “Forgot Password” on the login page, enter your Revolution ID and click the button “Send me a password reset link.” An email will be sent to the email we have associated with the Revolution ID.
Once logged in, tap on “Schedule.”
Once logged in, you will see a list of your upcoming sessions.
Sessions are available for you to join 15 minutes before the start time.
The Join button will turn orange when available.
Simply tap on the “Join Session” button when available.
The Zoom app will automatically open so that you can join your session.
A Few More Tips!
- Make sure your iPad is fully charged before starting any tutoring session.
- Before joining a tutoring session, fnd a quiet and distraction-free area with a strong Wi-Fi connection.
- For the best experience, check your microphone and camera are working properly. Don’t forget headphones!
- Apple and other manufacturers update their software as needed, however, this is information undisclosed to Revolution Prep. It’s highly recommended by Revolution Prep that you follow the suggested iOS updates presented by Apple in a timely fashion to have the best tutoring experience.
